Requisites: (weights are approximate)

  • brass wire (0,30 mm)
  • green wire (0,31 mm)
  • 100 grams green beads 11/0
  • 80 grams light-green beads 11/0
  • 40 grams ivory colored beads 11/0
  • 20 grams aubergine colored beads 11/0
  • 10 grams blue beads 11/0
  • 5 grams yellow beads 11/0
  • green flower tape
  • piece of thick bendable metal wire to create a wreath, approx. 80 cm

 

 
Create 7 aubergine-green anthers:
  1. Place 11 aubergine colored beads on brass wire. Leave 20 cm between the beads and the beginning of the wire. Insert the wire back through the first 6 beads.
  2. Repeat this twice on the same wire. Cut off the wires leaving them the same lenght. Place 3 light green beads on both wires and 1 light green bead on 1 wire. Wind the wires together.

Create 7 green-yellow anthers:
  1. Place 4 light green and 3 yellow beads on brass wire. Leave 35 cm between the beads and the beginning of the wire. Insert the wire back through the first 2 yellow beads.
  2. Place another 3 yellow beads and insert back through the first 2 yellow and the green beads.
  3. Repeat 4 times.

Create 7 aubergine colored anthers:
  1. String an amount of aubergine beads on brass wire. Create loops with 7 beads.
  2. Create a total of 5 loops close to eachother.

Create 14 multicolored anthers:
  1. Place 2 light green, 3 aubergine, 4 ivory and 4 blue bleads on brass wire. Leave at least 65 cm between the beads and the beginning of the wire.
  2. Place 3 aubergine, 4 ivory and 4 blue beads and insert back through the first 3 blue, 4 ivory, 3 aubergine and 2 light green beads.
  3. Repeat 6 times so that a total of 14 'sticks' will be made.
    One flower contains 2 of these anthers.

Create 35 bi-colored leaves:
  1. Take 60 cm of brass wire and according to basic technique 1, place the following amounts in the middle of the wire: 
    1 light green, 1 ivory.
    Take both wires together and place one ivory bead.
  2. Place 15 ivory beads on each one of the wires. Take both wires together and place one ivory bead.
  3. Take one of the wires and place 19 ivory beads. Insert the wire throught the uppper ivory bead.
  4. Place another 19 ivory beads on the same wire and lead back down. Take the wires together and place one ivory bead.
  5. Take the longest wire and place 22 light green beads. Insert the wire through the upper green bead.
  6. Place another 22 light green beads on the same wire and lead back down. Wind the wire ends together.
    Every flower contains 5 of these leaves.

Create another 35 leaves as described above (5 leaves per flower), but now only use light green beads. These leaves are slightly bigger so use the following amounts:

With step 2 use:            17 beads in stead of 15
With step 3 and 4:         21 beads in stead of 19
With step 5 and 6:         24 beads in stead of 22

 
 

 
Put all parts together starting with the 1 aubergine-green anther, 1 green-yellow anther, 1 aubergine anther, 2 multi-colored anthers, 5 bi-coloured leaves and 5 green leaves.
Wrap up the wire ends with flower tape.

Make 2 buds:
Use light green beads on brass wire.
Using basic technique 4, create 5 loops of 11 beads and form it into a ball.
 

Create 10  leaves for the buds using light green beads: 

  1. Take a brass wire (40 cm) and place 1 bead in the middle of the wire. Take both wires together and place 1 bead.
  2. Place 12 beads on each of the wires. Take both wires together and place 1 bead.
  3. Place 16 beads on one wire and insert through the upper bead.
  4. Place another 16 beads on the same wire and lead back down. Wind the wires ends together.

Wind 5 leaves around 1 bud.

String a large amount of green beads on green wire and create the following amount of leaves using basic technique 1:

18 x leaf 1: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-8-8-8-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
40 x leaf 2: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-7-7-7-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
11 x leaf 3: 1-2-3-4-5-6-6-6-6-6-5-4-3-2-1
42 x leaf 4: 1-2-3-4-5-5-5-5-5-4-3-2-1
 8 x leaf 5: 1-2-3-4-4-4-4-4-3-2-1
 6 x leaf 6: 1-2-3-3-3-3-3-2-1

Now create:

  • 18 leaves (A) with 1x leaf 1, 2x leaf 2 en 2x leaf 4
  •   4 leaves (B) with 1x leaf 2, 2x leaf 3 en 2x leaf 5
  •   3 leaves (C) with 1x leaf 3, 2x leaf 4 en 2x leaf 6

and make them as shown below.

 

 

 
Use 60 cm of green wire for the making of curls.
Fold the wire and wind it together.
  1. Wind the wire around a knitting needle size 3.
  2. Remove the knitting needle and leave a stem of 4 cm.

Make 18 of these curls.

Putting the passion flower together:
  • Take 1x leaf C and a curl and wind down 2,5 cm with green wire
  • Take 1x leaf C and a curl and wind 3 cm
  • Take 1x leaf C, a bud and a curl and wind 3,5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf B, a bud and a curl and wind 4 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf B and a curl and wind 4,5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf B and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1 flower, 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm
  • Take 1x leaf A and a curl and wind 5 cm

Bend the metal wire into a circle and wrap the flower garland around it. It will go around about 2-3 times. Put the wreath in a pot with a base of clay.
